A Amazon.ca revelou a lista de seus livros mais vendidos em 2016. Essa é um pratica institucionalizada da empresa, que todos os anos revela os livros mais vendidos de forma geral, e os livros infanto-juvenis mais vendidos antes da temporada de férias. Tomando o primeiro lugar em ambas as listas, está o roteiro parte um e dois da peça de teatro mais aclamanda em West End, e a mais recente história do Mundo Mágico, "Harry Potter and the Cursed Child", escrito por JK Rowling, Jack Thorne e John Tiffany.

Não é nenhuma novidade. Apesar do livro ter sido alvo de críticas pesadas, muito diferente da própria peça em si, o livro segue o padrão de vendas da saga Harry Potter. E para nenhuma surpresa, Harry Potter and the Cursed Child foi anunciado como best-seller na Amazon.com nos Estados Unidos, também.

O roteiro de "Animais Fantásticos e Onde Habitam", ficou no finalzinho do 20 livros mais vendidos no Canadá, mas convenhamos que é uma conquista e tanto já que o roteiro foi liberado para venda dias atrás.
